Winter Time

I forgot to post pictures of my presents. Oh well. I'll try and get around to it eventually, hopefully.

I've had something wrong with my ear ever since Christmas night. I can't hear out of it and it's driving me insane. I have no desire to go to the doctors, but I'm hoping it's nothing too bad. Otherwise, after the new year I'm off to the doctor to get fixed. Not looking forward to that because then it becomes a huge ordeal.

The snow storm came and it was lovely! I finally had an excuse to sit around all day and do nothing. The roads were horrible and I was snowed in at my boyfriend's house on Boxing day. It was wonderful just to be stuck inside and just relax. I do that normally, but those two days of being snowed made it socially acceptable.

My dog loves the snow! When we first brought him home almost a year ago, there was snow on the ground. Now it's just like old times to him and it loves it to death. He has a few paths we dug for him in the backyard and it runs around like crazy. The other day while my boyfriend and I had him out and we dug him a new path, we dug close enough to the grass that Tater, my dog, went crazy and dug a huge tunnel under the snow. Of coarse I filled it up when it he done because who knows what would have happened.

Christmas Note

Merry Christmas everyone! I sincerely hope each and every one of you at least got one thing you wanted. I know I did.

I'm a little sad that it's not really cold and that there is no snow on the ground, not even a sign. The weather man said that it should start snowing tonight, but I remember this time last year we already had our first snow storm a week before Christmas! (Indicated in the above picture)

Oh well! I know the lake by my house froze over, so this morning my boyfriend and his brother went out early to skate. Technically they aren't suppose to, but they beat the cop and got home without any confrontations. I plan on visiting it later today or sometime this week to snag some pictures of it before it starts to thaw.

Later on I'll have a post with all/close to all of the things I got for Christmas. It stinks growing up because there's nothing I really want anymore. I asked for socks and underwear, that's how bad it's getting! I never thought I'd see the day.

So, I hope you, your family and your friends have a wonderful and safe holiday!
Merry Christmas!

South Orange, NJ

South Orange Ave
The lovely city/town of South Orange is where I spent my weekend. My boyfriend goes to Seton Hall so I visit him at his apartment often. This weekend was Christmas themed! We went to our one friend's house for shots and food. Let me tell you, these shots were so amazing. Rootbeer, Cream Soda, and Whipped Cream Alcohol. So good. We then ventured back to my boyfriends apartment for more shots and then we walked next door for a keg and more socializing. Everyone had to dress up and it was so much fun.

The past two morning we ate at dunkin donut's, (the building closest to us on the right) I love that Dunkin more than the one's here cause I feel like everything just tastes better. Across the street is Gaslight, where I had my first encounter with food poisoning, but it was so good, that I can't wait to go back.

I am so in love with the shot up above because I'm pretty sure it is shot from the train station. Overlooking the town I find myself in more than my own. I would consider South Orange my second home and I would not mind moving there at all.

Of course I wouldn't live where my boyfriend lives, seeing as how his house was robbed at gun point, and that his road is the road where most of the robberies and such happen. I can't tell you how many times the cops had ran through his driveway chasing some person. It's like a reality show, minus the TV and cameras.

Psychology: 2 Molly: 0

Psychology

Psychology is over! Hopefully forever. Just took my exam before and aside from knowing nothing at all, I think maybe passed the coarse. I have my fingers crossed! These -ology classes drive me insane. The only one I wasn't stressed about was biology. Not looking forward to sociology, but whatever.

Down with -ologys!

Seeing the Light

Seeing the Light

Call of the Raven (formerly Nature's Special Effects)

This is it! I'm in the home stretch. Tomorrow, mid-day, I will be done with psych forever! That is, if I can finally pass the class. Winter break is coming up and I could not be more thrilled. No more psychology, no more math, no more photography assignments. Next semester is going to be so much better, except for public speaking. As much as I hate the cold weather, it means Christmas is coming, school is ending and a new year approaching. I can live without the snow, but I know it's going to come. Of course I cannot wait until spring. Best season, hands down.

New Rings

Got these rings for Christmas. I celebrated yesterday with my Dad's side of the family.
They are from Forever 21. I love them to pieces!
I recently added AdSense to my blog. I am in no way going to force you to click these ads, but I would like to say that if you have any comments about them to PLEASE contact me. I will do my best to switch the locations and sizes of them if there is a problem.

My ads will most likely be removed from time to time. So don't worry, I won't always have ads up.

View Finder Tonight will hopefully be a daily thing where I try to do my best to take pictures every day.
All pictures in these posts belong to me. Most will be click through to my flickr, but I'm running out of room
and I don't have pro. Yet.

Photo 1 | Buzz Lightyear : One of my favorite saying from a movie. It's inspirational in a simple way.
Photo 2 | Jumanji  My favorite childhood movie. I haven't read the book until my 8-year-old sister borrowed it from the school library. I fell even more in love.
Photo 3 | Kitty : My kitten who turned 1 on Halloween.

Beauty in Numbers

Beauty in Numbers

Red Woman In Tube

you are beautiful.

It's hard to accept your body in a society so haunted by the images of thin people.
The images of Victoria Secret models, over edited magazine photos.
It seems as we are being conditioned not to accept how we are, but to strive for the image of "perfection".

Weight was once a sign of wealth and beauty. Now? Well, now it's a sign of being unhealthy and ugly.
We are suppose to be taught to love ourselves, but how can we when we are so obsessed with
being what everyone wants us to be.

It hurts.

All of these photos come from Yvette Inufio on Flickr. I love the look and the feel of them.
I love the elegance and the simplicity. It shows a life I wish I possessed.

The Start

The purpose of this blog is for me to pretty much let me thoughts out. It is to post things that interest me, whether it be in the form of images or words. I have been blogging for a while and usually jump from blog to blog, host to host. I have a hard time staying committed to one thing. So I suppose this could also be a small project for me to keep up blogging daily. Each day I will hopefully post a photo of myself, excluding today, and other ramblings. More than one post might be posted a day, depending on how I'm feeling.

So sit down and buckle up, you're in for a ride.
